The world famous bridge at Saltströmmen spans the narrow inlet which opens out and feeds the fjords, a huge whirlpool is formed and the currents here can reach in excess of twenty five knots and therefore food is in abundance in this area with many species of fish feeding here and in the adjoining Saltdal and Skjerdal fjords.

No Set Itinerary, the eight day seven night trip lends itself perfectly to both serious anglers and families as the cabins are of an excellent standard and extremely comfortable. the scenery along the route is spectacular, just something else to savour during your stay.
Each group of four will have their own conveniently moored Uttern S 56 self drive boat complete with sixty horse power four stroke motor and fish-finder. Naturally parties must purchase their own fuel and provide their own tackle, although both of these can be purchased locally.

Hot Spots
There are plenty of "hotspots" for cod and halibut fishing close to the cabins. Cod and halibut are often caught in really shallow water, which also permits the use of relatively lightweight tackle.
