If you are ready to escape the trials and tribulations of Christmas at home why not visit the Laponia hotel in Arvidsjaur? Day 1
19th December - Arrival & Transfer to Hotel Laponia

You will be greeted at the airport before making the short road transfer to the delightful Laponia hotel in Arvidsjaur. After a welcoming drink your guide will explain your itinerary and answer any questions, depending on the time of your arrival you will be provided with a thermal suit, hat, mitts and boots, after being shown to your accommodation there may be time to explore before taking dinner in the restaurant
Day 2
20th December – Winter Fun & Search for Santa

Breakfast
Our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you on a short walk to the frozen village lake, here you can take part in a number of simple winter games, everyone can take part “fun in the snow” Lunch is served in the restaurant Then it is time to go off in search of Santa, you will meet Santa's wife and the little helpers and have time to play and also enjoy the special festive atmosphere. Each family will then meet with Santa who will ask them for their all important wish list. Finally it is time to return to the hotel and enjoy a festive dinner and Christmas celebrations in the restaurant
Day 3
21st December – Free Day & Kick Sledges
Breakfast
A free day to do as you please, maybe you would like to visit hotel reception or speak to your guide earlier in your trip to arrange the hire of winter sports equipment or book some additional activities?
Later in the day you can enjoy a guided Kick Sledge tour of the town, visit the local gift shop and look at the local crafts a warm drink enroute – these sledges are really fun a great experience

Day 4
22nd December - Meet the Huskies

Breakfast
Your guide will meet you at the hotel and take off into the countryside to meet the Huskies these wonderful four legged friends will take you on an amazing sleigh ride through the stunning snow clad forests of Lapland. You also can take coffee in the timber shelter and relax beside the fire

Day 5
23rd December - Visit the Arctic Circle
Breakfast
Today you will take a road trip to the Arctic Circle taking in the sights of this winter wonderland. Your guide will explain the seasons, nature and wildlife as you travel through winter wilderness. Coffee and a light lunch are taken along the way. Take photos of the historic moment you will also receive a certificate to remind you of this historic day

Day 6
24th December – Christmas Day in Lapland
Breakfast
A quiet day of leisure, simply relax, visit the local church, or you may wish take advantage of the winter conditions and stunning scenery to entertain yourselves, Hotel facilities are naturally available to you. In the evening you will enjoy a wonderful festive dinner and celebrations with a special visit from Santa

Day 7
25th December - Snowmobiles
Breakfast
Venture deep into the forest wilderness of Lapland, you will travel over frozen lakes and vast expanses of snow, see the snow clad forests. A true voyage of discovery for all ages, special sledges are provided for the young ones warmth and safety

26th December Departure
Breakfast
Depending on your time of departure you may wish to purchase some additional activities prior to leaving. After returning your winter clothing you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to the UK
Please note: Local activity providers reserve the right to modify this itinerary as local conditions or weather may necessitate changes to the schedule of some activities
The Package Includes:
The package price is based on two sharing twin, double-room or family-room accommodation with flights from London; Accommodation Options: Various accommodation upgrades are available, including singles, mini-suites and deluxe suites with master bedroom and private sauna
The hotel has a child's play area video and DVD, indoor-pool, saunas, gymnasium and spa
An additional charge of £30-00 is levied for the use of individual machines and should the snowmobile suffer accidental damage, you, the customer is liable for the first 8000SEK of the cost of repairs, so please drive carefully.
Optional activities available locally
Most additional activities can be organised and booked at the hotel reception
These include: Alpine skiing, cross-country, snowboarding, ice-fishing, ice driving with cars, quads and cross-carts, snowshoe walking, additional dog sleigh and snowmobile trips

Occasionally weather conditions may be unsuitable or other circumstances may cause changes to the itinerary. We reserve the right to change the programe if this should be the case
Clothing
Although we provide all guests with high quality extreme weather clothing for the duration of their visit; in the form of hats, boots, suits and mitts. We must point out to all visitors that we strongly recommend that you travel in warm clothing; waterproof footwear and wear hats and gloves. Additional personal clothing should include thermal under garments, wool or thermal socks and additional layers of lightweight clothing such as vests. The temperatures really can be quite extreme and it is much more fun when you are warm!
