Santa & The Arctic Zoo 2008
Combining the magical Santa visit with a tour of the famous Lycksele zoo; see a wonderful collection of wild animals in romantic winter setting; we have reindeer, wolves, bison and moose to name just a few, all displayed in a very pleasant and natural park You will stay at the delightful hotel Lappland overlooking the frozen Umea River. Really nice family accommodation in this extremely comfortable hotel which offers guests a friendly and efficient service throughout their stay and is perfect for families. Facilities include; indoor pool, children’s playroom, gymnasium, saunas and hot tub, even an Irish bar for the adults and Saturday night entertainment

Day 1
Flights from the UK to Lycksele via Stockholm Arlanda, guests will be greeted at Lycksele airport before making the short road transfer to the hotel Lapland.
On arrival you will be allocated your rooms and issued with extreme weather clothing, hats, boots, suits and mitts. Settle in and relax before dinner is served in the restaurant.
The hotel offers excellent facilities, indoor pool, child play room, hot tub, spa and bar
Day 2
Breakfast is served in the restaurant. You will then have some free time to get outside and enjoy the winter landscape. You may wish use your time to take a snowmobile ride, these machines can be rented in the hotel grounds.
It is then time for the main event; a family visit the meet Santa at the superb Lycksele zoo, here you can see a wonderful array of Arctic animals in their own winter wonderland, before keeping that all important date with Santa, visit his house and give him your wish list. Afterwards children can move next door to listen to some short stories or be creative in the craft room, during your visit lunch is provided, there is even a very pretty gift shop which you can visit, you may wish take the opportunity to buy a small reminder of your visit to Lapland.

Day 3
Breakfast in the restaurant Sadly you will leave Lycksele today, however depending on your departure time you may wish to pre-arrange some additional arctic activities prior to saying goodbye and leaving for the airport and return flights. Your local guide will be happy to assist.

An additional charge of £35-00 is levied for the use of individual machines and should the snowmobile suffer accidental damage, you, the customer is liable for the first 8000SEK of the cost of repairs, so please drive carefully.
Optional activities available locally:
Most additional activities can be organised and booked at the hotel reception including: cross-country, ice-fishing, snowshoe walking, additional dog sleigh and snowmobile trips.
Please note:
On occasions weather conditions and other local issues may require alterations to the program we reserve the right to make such alterations Clothing although high quality extreme weather clothing is provided we strongly recommend that guests do travel in warm clothing; waterproof footwear and wearing hats and gloves. Additional personal clothing should include thermal under garments, wool or thermal socks and additional layers of lightweight clothing such as vests. The temperatures really can be quite extreme and it is much more fun when you are warm!

The package is displayed including return flights from London Gatwick Flights may also be available from the following regional airports: Belfast, Birmingham, Nottingham East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh & Dublin: A supplement of £45.00 per person may be charged depending on availability.
