The central location of the cabins is unbeatable with wild nature on the doorstep, yet only ten minutes from the local airport and close to the town centre, Lycksele Zoo, Forestry Museum, Bjorngrottan, (the bear cave) Gammplatsen, Trollbacken and the Ansia Water park, all of which contribute to making these cabins an ideal facility for families with children during summer and winter. You can also visit Santa at the Arctic Zoo during December

Winter Holidays
Once the temperatures drop and the snows arrive it is time to enjoy the wonders of winter, the first snows often appear during November and although no one can ever guarantee the weather conditions so early in the winter season you can still enjoy a memorable visit to Lapland. Winter activities available locally include: Dogsleigh, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiles, Horse Riding, Snowshoe Walking and Ice Fishing. Santa and the Arctic Zoo

Enjoy a break in one of the most beautiful areas in Lapland. During the winter months Hemavan and Tarnaby provide an excellent venue for all manner of winter activities; Alpine, cross-country and helli-skiing along with Boarding, Dog Sleigh, Snowmobile, Arctic Circle, Lappish Culture and Reindeer trips. All activities and equipment hire can be arranged and booked locally. Simply do as you please!

During the summer months the Tarnafjallen mountain area offers superb opportunities for walking, cycling, canoeing game and sea fishing. With its superb range of alpine flora, hiking, pot holes, glaciers and majestic views this truly is a memorable area to visit. The southern end of the famous Kungsleden (Kings Trail) starts in Hemavan, the trail is suitable for a single days hike, but for the more adventurous a three-four day trip will take you to Ammarnäs. Sweden's highest elevated alpine botanical garden the “Naturum Centre” houses an exhibition of over four hundred plants from the surrounding nature reserve. Here you can watch films, take part in guided tours or attend lectures on geology, flora, fauna and climate,. Guides are available up to the middle of August.
