We visit Sami. In our winter-pastures you will meet with a reindeer-herder, his dogs and reindeer in their natural environment. This can be out in the forest, by the enclosed pasture or close to our home. Reindeer are our life and hopefully you will get to know some of them in their enclosed pasture, you will hear the characteristic sound of their hooves and the reindeer bell jingling. Sit by an open fire on soft reindeer hides whilst you listen to our stories of Sami-life, from today and yesteryear. Here you can enjoy coffee and some genuine Sami food, for example lightly smoked reindeer meat, reindeer sausages and mountain fish like char or salmon trout, you can also get a taste of the yellow gold of our mountains, the cloud-berry, all of this is locally produced, other Sami specialities include moose-meat and our special bread, gàhkku. We regularly use the lasso as a working-tool so you will be able to try and master this skill.
